Yes, you are reading this right. Blizzard has announced that an animated series based on the Diablo franchise is in development at Netflix. Sanctuary is coming to your living room, straight to your TV, so now you can play the game and watch the animated series at the same time! How cool is this going to be?
The announcement was made during BlizzCon 2026, and we know that the Diablo series will be animated, and Netflix is handling the adaptation alongside Blizzard.

There is currently no word on any release date or anything, so we will have to wait for Blizzard or Netflix to reveal more. It is also unclear if the series will focus on the events of one of the existing Diablo games or tell an entirely new story within the franchise's universe.
For now, though, Diablo fans have one more reason to keep an eye on Netflix!
