Here, you can find all the information about Diablo at BlizzCon 2026. We are updating this page live during the show and keeping it as a full recap afterwards. A place to help us remember this legendary event, and the many announcements from Blizzard for the upcoming years. 

Diablo BlizzCon 2026 Schedule and Panel Times

BlizzCon 2026 runs September 11-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center, with the Opening Ceremoney and most of the Diablo programs on Saturday, September 12. 

All times below are Pacific Time (PT) with the Central European Summer Time (CEST) conversion for our EU audience. 

The Diablo: Developer Update (Saturday) is the most important franchise panel. We expect it will cover all Diablo games, not just Diablo IV, with the team discussing the upcoming content for each game. 

Diablo 4: What's Next (Sunday) is focused specifically on Diablo 4, with previews of upcoming content and features.

The Art of Darkness is inviting players into the world of Diablo 4 cinematics with insights on visual storytelling, performance capture, and animation.

Blizzard has not pre-published the contents of the Diablo panel, so treat the schedule above as when to tune in. Every detail that is revealed during BlizzCon will then be added to the announcements section below as it happens.

How to Watch Diablo at BlizzCon 2026 For Free

BlizzCon 2026 can be watched for free on YouTube (youtube.com/Blizzard), Twitch (twitch.tv/Blizzard), and Battle.net. The Opening Ceremony and Diablo panels above are simulcast across YouTube and Twitch, and no tickets are required to watch.

How to Claim Every Diablo BlizzCon 2026 Twitch Drop

Watching Diablo 4 category streams on Twitch during the event earns you three free weapon cosmetics, no game ownership required.

Active window: September 12, 10:00 am PT  until September 15, 9:59 am PT, September 15 (Sept 12, 19:00 CEST until Sept 15, 18:59 CEST).

To claim them:

1. Link your Twitch (or YouTube) account to your Battle.net account before you start watching.

2. Watch any stream in the Diablo 4 category (official channel not required)

3. Rewards unlock automatically as your watch time accumulates; no need to claim manually.

There is also an exclusive 30th Anniversary Twitch chat badge, available September 12–26. You can get it by subscribing to any Diablo-category streamer during the availability window.

Season 15, a Prime Evil, and Other BlizzCon Rumors

The following is pre-BlizzCon speculation (ours and the community’s), not confirmed by Blizzard. 

Why the Season 15 story could be the big reveal:

Blizzard skipped the usual pre-season Campfire Chat entirely, saying there was "more to reveal at BlizzCon", which pushed the first Season 15 developer update straight into the convention. Combined with Game Director Brent Gibson's promise that fans will "freak out" at the announcement, and a PTR that deliberately kept its seasonal content under wraps, our read is that Blizzard is going to reveal something bigger than a routine seasonal patch - our BlizzCon predictions piece covers possibilities such as a new endgame system, an anniversary-specific event, or a tease of the next story chapter.

Diablo or Baal: Is a Prime Evil finally coming back?

Neither Diablo nor Baal has appeared yet as a boss in Diablo 4 or its expansions. Blizzard's X account has been repeatedly, and rather pointedly, teasing both of them in the days before the show. It could be exactly the kind of clues Blizzard leaves before a Prime Evil returns.

Could Diablo 1 get a 30th anniversary remaster?

There is no leak or datamine behind this one. 2026 is Diablo's 30th anniversary. Blizzard recently showed it is willing to revisit old titles by adding the Warlock class to Diablo 2: Resurrected 25 years on, and a remaster would be a natural way to introduce the original game to everyone who joined through Diablo 3, Immortal, or Diablo 4. 

The Witcher crossover: cosmetic only, or a full event?

This one is already partly confirmed. Blizzard and CD Projekt Red announced a Diablo 4 x Witcher collaboration at Gamescom, and buying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past on Battle.net comes with a Geralt-inspired skin. What is still open is the scope of this cross-promotion. Our in-depth article on the crossover floats the idea that Season 15’s "Overland Ambush" encounters could be reskinned into a Witcher-style monster hunt, though there is no evidence tying the two together yet.

Is Diablo 4 coming to Switch 2?

There is also a leak regarding a Switch 2 version of Diablo 4, an "Age of Hatred Collection" bundling the base game with both expansions. Pre-orders could open the same day as BlizzCon, with a release three days later. Nothing from Blizzard or Nintendo confirms this, but the timing next to BlizzCon is suspicious.

Everything Diablo Announced at BlizzCon 2026

We will fill this in live starting Saturday, September 12, as the Opening Ceremony and Developer Updates panels air, until Sunday after What's Next.

Diablo 5 confirmed for Spring 2029

The biggest surprise of the Opening Ceremony for Diablo was that Diablo 5 is already in development and planned for Spring 2029. Devs are stepping away from the usual "Save the Sanctuary" to what they said would be "what must you become when the world has already fallen?"

The Diablo 5 Developer Update brought more news about Diablo 5. You will play the Heir to Westmarch in a fallen Western Continent. Your base of operation is a traveling caravan instead of the usual towns. And the game team already confirmed some classes like Demon Hunter, Monk, and new one, Plague Knight. Itemization is switching back to a system similar to Diablo 2 with stat requirements, gear sets and runewords.

The Amazon is Diablo 4's next class

Diablo 4 is planning yet another new class for 2027. They introduced the Amazon during the Opening Ceremony, bringing the famous D2 javelin to Diablo 4.

The Divine Bovine Community Challenge is live

As a play on the cow secret level, the Diablo team turned the World Bosses into Moophisto, a cattle world boss. The community must defeat Moophisto 300,000 times until September 14 to win a Mount Trophy.

Diablo 4 is coming to Switch 2 on September 15

Blizzard confirmed the Switch 2 leak: Diablo 4 launches on the console the same day Season 15 begins everywhere else, September 15.

Season 15 will feature Deckard Cain and all three Prime Evils

Diablo Season 15, season of Hell's Legacy, finally revealed its story and mechanics. The season will let players wield one of the Prime Evils' power (Diablo, Baal or Mephisto.) Season 15 launches on September 15.

Diablo 4's Season 15, called Season of Hell's Legacy, celebrates the franchise's 30th anniversary by digging straight into its own history. Players pick a sould shard from Mephisto, Baal or Diablo, which unlocks reputation tracks for that specific Prime Evil. The season also adds Waking Nightmares, dungeons and set-piece encounters recreating classic battles from Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal, with nearly twenty returning bosses and heroes.

An animated Diablo series is coming to Netflix

Blizzard and Netflix confirmed their cooperation on a new animated Diablo series. Johanna Faries claimed that this cooperation may be the start of many between the two companies. They see a great potential for more content to be created with Blizzard Entertainment games.
