Diablo 4 on Switch 2 reportedly releases September 15, with pre-orders opening during BlizzCon
A known leaker points to a mid-September launch, both expansions in the box, and pre-orders the day BlizzCon opens.
Diablo 4 could be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 soon! According to Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, the Switch 2 console port is reportedly launching on September 15, 2026, with pre-orders going live a few days earlier on September 12. So far, the leaker has had a pretty strong track record when it comes to unannounced ports, but nothing has been confirmed by Blizzard or Nintendo yet.
Nevertheless, if this leak turns out to be true, the timing would line up perfectly with BlizzCon 2026, which happens on September 12 and 13. This means the Switch 2 reveal would likely happen during the opening day ceremony, which is usually where big announcements are held, right on the BlizzCon stage. If pre-orders are going live right after, it would make sense that the game could be arriving just days later. Of course, there is also a chance that the reveal comes even sooner, since some reporting flags Gamescom as a possible announcement moment. However, nothing of the sort happened during ONL (Gamescom Opening Night Live), so this rumor is likely not going to hold.
Both Expansions Are Reportedly Included
The Switch 2 version would not be limited to just the base game. According to the report, the Age of Hatred Collection includes Diablo IV and both of its expansions:

The full collection will reportedly cost $69.99 in the US, £62.99 in the UK, and €69.99 in Europe. That would give Switch 2 players the full current Diablo 4 package in one single purchase. The price itself is quite high, especially if you already own the game on PC or another Console, but for players who look forward to playing on handheld, it might just be worth it.
The Boxed Edition Has No Game Card
Another caveat that the leak mentioned is that the physical release is just a code in a box, rather than a cartridge or a Game-Key Card. So the boxed version would come with a download code inside the case instead of the game on a card, which is not what most people expect when they buy a physical copy.
So either way, the game itself will have to be downloaded. Collectors who were hoping to keep the full game on a physical card will want to know that before buying Diablo 4 on Nintendo Switch 2.
Early Ratings Already Mentioned Switch 2
Naturally, this is not the first talk of Diablo 4 coming to Nintendo hardware. References to this go back as far as spring 2026, well before much else was known about the console's upcoming games. Diablo 4 previously appeared in classification listings from Indonesia and Taiwan, with the Taiwanese listing naming Nintendo Switch 2 as a platform for Lord of Hatred.
Those ratings do support the existence of the port, but they did not provide the September 15 release date or September 12 pre-order date info. Those details are still quite new and come from the latest Dealabs report.
A while ago, former Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson also discussed the possibility in 2025 in a YouTube interview with Danny Peña. Back then, he said the Switch 2 had enough power to run Diablo 4, but that live-service support on Nintendo platforms had been more difficult in the past. If this port is real though, Blizzard appears to have found a way through that problem.
Can We Expect Any Official Confirmation Soon?
Until Blizzard or Nintendo says something, nothing is official. Gamescom did not have any related announcement during the opening stream, but BlizzCon fits the reported schedule much more closely anyway.
