Overwatch's mysterious Omnic detective is joining the Support roster
The umbrella-wielding Omnic is expected to arrive in Season 6 as Overwatch prepares to launch its next story arc.
Overwatch Season 6 will be the last update of 2026, and it will most likely include the last hero announced months ago during the Overwatch Spotlight in February 2026.
Blizzard planned to add ten new heroes, but not all of them were directly revealed. Some were only shown as silhouettes, with no additional information.
Keep in mind that the following information comes mostly from leaks, and nothing has been confirmed officially so far.
A New Support Hero
Ten heroes, that was the plan. We can already play nine of them:
D.Mon
Domina
Jetpack Cat
Anran
Emre
Mizuki
Shion
Sierra
Doctrine
And we now know what the last one looks like. Prepare yourself for an Omnic Detective with a beautiful trench coat, hat, and umbrella weapon.
However, that is all we know. There is no information on his real name or his abilities, but according to the rumors, he should be a Support hero.

According to the previous 2026 Spotlight and BlizzCon, this year's final Omnic Detective hero is scheduled to be released as a support 💉
When Can You Expect Omnic Detective?
Omnic Detective is supposed to launch with Season 6. We do not have the official date for the next season, but if we look at the usual schedule and the end of the current Battle Pass, you can expect it in the first week of December 2026. This would be the last season of the year, closing the current story arc as well.
Once again, these are only rumors. Dates can change, and we will have to wait to know more about this new hero. Blizzard still needs to confirm he is indeed a Support.
