Overwatch Season 5 has two Twitch Drops campaigns with free loot boxes
Earn Dokiwatch cosmetics and loot boxes, then tune into OWCS broadcasts for more free Jetpack Cat items.
Overwatch Season 5 just started, and it comes with not only one, but two Twitch Drops campaigns running this October, with a bunch of cool free cosmetics and loot boxes to pick up without spending any Coins. The first set is themed around Dokiwatch and has been available since October 6, and a new set of drops linked to the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) starts today, October 10.
Both campaigns run for a limited time, so here is every reward you can earn and how long you need to watch to unlock them.
Overwatch Dokiwatch Twitch Drops
The Dokiwatch Twitch Drops campaign is already live and runs from October 6 until November 2. It includes themed player icons and sprays, and two different Loot Boxes. As always, you will need to watch an Overwatch stream on Twitch that has the Drops active to unlock the rewards.
Reward | Watch Time |
|---|---|
Heroes of Heart Player Icon | 30 mins |
Hollow Hearts Player Icon | 1 hour |
Hollow Hearts Spray | 3 hours |
Regular Lootbox | 6 hours |
Heroes of Heart Spray | 10 hours |
Epic Lootbox | 15 hours |
Yes, you will need a total of 15 hours to claim everything in the campaign. You have until November 2 to finish earning these drops, so there is plenty of time. No need to do everything in one go.
Overwatch OWCS Twitch Drops
A second Twitch Drops campaign begins today, on October 10, this time celebrating the Overwatch Champions Series. This one is a little bit more special because you will need to watch eligible OWCS streams to earn themed cosmetics featuring Reinhardt, Torbjörn, and the amazing Jetpack Cat. Typically, the only eligible streams for this are official channel streams, so keep an eye out for those.
These drops are available until October 25, so you better be quick. Both drops can be accumulated at the same time. Watching an official stream for the OWCS drops will automatically count for the Dokiwatch campaign as well.
Reward | Watch Time |
|---|---|
Reinhardt Spray | 1 Hour |
Cat Looking Out the Window Spray | 2 Hours |
Torbjörn Spray | 3 Hours |
Jetpack Cat Banana Spray | 4 Hours |
Fall Leaves Nameplate | 6 Hours |
Jetpack Cat Banana Player Icon | 8 Hours |
Esports Loot Box | 10 Hours |
If you are planning to watch the tournament anyway, you can make that time count toward some extra cosmetics.
How to Claim Overwatch Twitch Drops
To earn these rewards, make sure your Battle.net account is linked to your Twitch account and watch Overwatch streams during the relevant campaign period. Check that the stream you are watching qualifies for the specific drops you want, since the Dokiwatch and OWCS campaigns may have different eligibility requirements.
Once you have reached the required watch time, claim the rewards through your Twitch Drops inventory. It should then be available in Overwatch. If the reward does not appear directly, give it a bit of time, or restart your game. And if you want everything, make sure you do not leave the tournament rewards until the last minute.
