Overwatch Season 5 adds six Twitch Drops rewards, including two Loot Boxes
Watch your favourite Overwatch streamers from November 3 to November 30 to earn all rewards.
Overwatch Season 5 is hitting mid-season, and Blizzard is celebrating with a few additional Twitch Drops.
Watch any Overwatch streamer to earn really cute cosmetics involving River, Fika, Kiriko, and Juno, and two Epic Lootboxes.
This campaign also celebrates the end of the Reign of Talon, so you can share this moment with your favorite streamers and get a few cosmetics to close this narrative arc.
The Drops are available from November 3rd 11am PT until November 30 11:59pm PT.
All Overwatch Season 5 Midseason Twitch Drops Rewards
During this mid-season campaign, you can obtain 6 items for a total of 15 hours of watch time:
River Spray - 30 mins
Lounging Fika Spray - 1 hour
Sakura Love Spray - 3 hours
Regular Lootbox - 6 hours
Starry Peace Spray - 10 hours
Epic Lootbox - 15 hours
You do not need to stay on the same channel to earn progress. You can switch between Overwatch streamers without losing your accumulated watch time, and you can also pause and pick it back up another day. Just keep in mind that watching multiple channels at the same time is not going to speed it up.
Another useful change is that Twitch no longer requires you to claim each reward before earning progress towards the next one. So you can just keep watching and collect your rewards later through your Twitch Drops Inventory.
How to Claim the Overwatch Twitch Drops
To claim your drops, you need to follow a few steps:
Make sure your Twitch account is linked to your Battle.net account
Head to Twitch, go to the Overwatch category, and select a stream that has Drops Activated
Watch the Overwatch streams for a total of 15 hours until you can claim all the rewards
You can participate through a PC or Mac browser, or the Twitch app on Android and iOS. Sadly, Console and smart TV Twitch apps do not support Drops.
Remember that watching time alone is not enough. You still need to claim your rewards at the end through your Twitch Drops Inventory. You have 24 hours after the campaign ends to claim any remaining rewards.
The Loot Boxes are probably the best rewards, since they contain random cosmetic items, so you always have a chance to get a really cool free skin for any of your favorite heroes.
Regular Loot Boxes contain four cosmetics, with at least one Rare or higher item, and Epic Loot Boxes guarantee at least one Epic or higher item.
