WoW Forever's Darkspear Islands battleground has its own reputations and rewards
WoW Forever's new Darkspear Islands battleground pits two teams of 15 against each other for rewards.
WoW Forever will launch with a PvP mode and new battlegrounds. You will head to Darkspear Islands, where a new battle is taking place. These are 15v15 Capture Point with Flag Capture battlegrounds, and yes, there are rewards waiting for those willing to fight for their faction.
Darkspear Island is located off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh, and access opens at level 30.
How Does the Darkspear Islands Battleground Work?
Your mission is to capture and hold. You will be split between two teams:
The Darkspear Raiders
The Theramore Expeditionary Force
Both factions earn score (also called "points," but to make it clearer here we will call those "score") by controlling four capture points on Darkspear Islands. The more capture locations your team controls, the faster you accumulate score.
In the middle of the map, you can also grab a flag and bring it back to one of the locations you are controlling. This will allow you to get additional score.
The first faction to reach 2000 score wins.
There are different ways to queue up for Battlegrounds.
Visit a battlemaster in any major capital city or in the Barrens (Kalimdor)
Seek out the Darkspear Raiders base (Horde) at the Merchant Coast
Seek out the Theramore Expeditionary Force (Alliance) base at Northwatch
You can also find vendors with reputation rewards inside the two Horde and Alliance bases, next to the Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force. They also have Battleground quests that you can pick up and complete.
Earn Reputation and Exclusive Faction Rewards
Both factions have their own reputation track. When you hit certain reputation thresholds, you can purchase gear and consumables such as trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons, armor pieces, and more.
Turning in Battleground quests will also reward you with Marks of Honor, and if you complete a short questline at Exalted, you will get the faction's exclusive tabard. This quest can be completed at any level.
