WoW Forever fixes a Tauren racial exploit and a few launch issues

Blizzard also took care of NPC spawns, missing profession bags, and a couple of quest issues.

World of Warcraft: Forever is finally here, and everyone seems to really enjoy the new adventure!

There are a few hiccups here and there, but nothing Blizzard cannot fix. They released the first hotfix for WoW Forever, and it covers some enemies and NPC issues, bugs related to items, player-versus-player problems with Plainsrunning, and a couple of quests.

Tauren Plainsrunning Can No Longer Stack in PvP

The main problem that was fixed in this small hotfix is the Tauren Plainsrunning exploit.

At launch, you could stack Plainsrunning in a battleground's preparation phase, giving you a really, really speedy head start. The Tauren racial gradually increases movement speed while running. So being able to stack its speed bonus during the preparation phase before a battleground even started was something that needed a quick fix to keep PvP fair.

Luckily, this has now been resolved. If you are playing Tauren, there is sadly no more stacking for you, at least not before the match even begins.

On top of that, any existing stacks will be cancelled when a player carries a flag. So Tauren players cannot be sent to capture the flag with an accumulated movement speed bonus. As soon as you pick up the flag, your stacks will disappear, and you will be at a normal speed.

NPC and Quest Fixes

Outside of that, there was nothing huge in this hotfix. It is mostly taking care of a few small respawn problems, items, or quest bugs.

  • Yarrog Baneshadow will now respawn faster

  • Lotheluum Starbreeze now offers training to Druids as expected

  • Murlocs in Dustwallow Marsh will not respawn so quickly anymore

  • Fixed an issue where Pelluk would sometimes not spawn

  • Trade supply vendors on Zephras Isle will now sell apprentice tradeskill bags

  • Mild Spices now sell to vendors for 1 copper each instead of 2

  • The text in "The Sisterhood of Elune" was fixed

  • The Deathstalker Erland in the quest "Escorting Erland" will respawn much faster
