WoW Forever will launch with a Roleplay-PvP Ruleset after all

Players asked for it, and Blizzard answered with a big yes.

WoW Forever ruleset showing PvE, PvP, and Roleplay servers

Many have asked for it, and Blizzard finally agreed. In one of the recent WoW Forever Podcasts, the developers discussed some of their concerns with adding a Roleplay-PvP ruleset to the game.

Over the last few days, players have voiced their feedback pretty loudly on this specific topic, and to the WoW Forever team, it was pretty clear that this needed to happen.

So yes, on November 4th, you will be able to create a character on the new Roleplay-PvP Ruleset! It is coming with the launch.

Blizzard is currently trying to add that Ruleset to the Early Name Reservation as well, but this is not yet guaranteed, so keep an eye on the latest news for that.

The Roleplay-PvP Ruleset is Coming to WoW Forever
Greetings,

In a recent episode of the WoW Forever Podcast we discussed some of our concerns with adding a Roleplay-PVP ruleset in WoW Forever, but we also mentioned that we were still discussing the topic internally and watching player feedback. Over the last few days, we’ve carefully examined what it would take to add it to WoW Forever and decided to go for it. We will add a Roleplay-PVP Ruleset for launch on November 4.

We’re also working hard to make it so that you can select the Roleplay-PvP ruleset and reserve names there next week when our Name Reservation period begins on Tuesday, October 27.

We really appreciate the feedback and comments on this.

Thank you!

As a reminder, these are the Rulesets available on launch, on top of the RP-PvP one:

  • Normal

  • PvP

  • Roleplaying

Hardcore is planned, but will NOT be available at launch.
