Diablo 4 changes how Damage over Time bonuses affect ground effects
Upheaval's burning ground is one example of an effect that will benefit from these bonuses.

Diablo 4's Season 16 PTR is starting on October 27, and there is one small change in the Patch Notes that you might have missed, but that could change a lot of things for your build.
Blizzard made a pretty useful adjustment to Damage over Time effects. All the bonuses you get to Damage over Time Duration will now also extend effects that deal damage over time in a specific area.
So basically, if your DoT damage is on the ground, for example, such as the burning ground created by the
Trailblazing ability from Barbarians, any DoT duration bonus will also increase the amount of time this effect will stay on the ground.
Gameplay
Effects that deal damage over time in a specific area, such as Upheaval's Trailblazing Variant, now have their duration increased by bonuses to Damage Over Time Duration, such as those granted by Shattered Vow.
