Diablo 4 has a mysterious Nightmare Sigil with a cowbell that nobody can explain in Season 15
The location points to Skovos, and everyone is already wondering if it leads somewhere very familiar.
As we already established by now, Diablo 4 Season 15 already has its fair share of, let's say, peculiar secrets, but we might have uncovered another somewhat bovine one.
A mysterious Nightmare Sigil with a cowbell icon has been discovered, and its name is just "???". The tooltip states the usual "Transforms this dungeon into a Nightmare Dungeon", but the location is just "??? in Skovos". That is about as much information as the game is willing to give you, so it is safe to say that this Sigil is very mysterious.
Other than that, it seems to work as a normal Nightmare Sigil with regular dungeon affixes. The main difference is that nobody seems to know what happens when you use it.
Is Diablo 4 Finally Hiding a Cow Level?
Given that this entire season of Hell's Legacy seems to be related to past Diablo games, it is not really surprising that the cowbell has already sent players back to speculating about one of Diablo's best-known mysteries. Multiple people have shared what the sigil looks like:

Skovos has quite a few cow-related secrets and hints, such as a Cow Level area and other strange references that have been uncovered by players ever since that area became available. That makes the location of this new Sigil more interesting as well. If the game wanted to hint at a secret cow level, putting a giant cowbell on a mysterious Sigil and sending it to Skovos would be a pretty obvious way to do it.
But that is just speculation.
Time to Gather More Clues
Sadly, I did not get my hands on any of these cow sigils yet, so it is a bit hard to test it myself, and I could not find anyone who had already used it, so currently, we cannot tell you where it really leads, or any other details about it.
We did find a few posts on Reddit where players reported other odd items, and everyone is currently trying to figure out what it all means. Some of these items come from the Prime Evils you can fight this season:
Black Mushroom that seems to come from the Den of Evil
Liquid Rainbow, but it is unknown where it comes from
Some mention Chat Gem from the Cornerstone "pop-up dungeon"
Apparently you can put all the items together in the Horadric Cube and get something else out of it, but it is all very confusing for now. It is definitely the sort of thing that a lot of Diablo players will spend hours solving.
And considering the Sigil itself literally says "???", it seems like we are going to have to let the community figure this one out.
But for now, the mystery remains. What is Skovos hiding?
