WoW Forever Twitch Drop gives players a toy that boosts campsite buffs
The Pouch of Violet Dust extends camp benefits by an hour for everyone resting nearby.
World of Warcraft: Forever has another Twitch Drop for launch, and this one comes with a useful gameplay bonus. The Pouch of Violet Dust is a temporary toy that turns campfires purple and extends the duration of campsite benefits by one hour, giving players a total of two hours of buffs.
The reward is available through a limited-time Twitch campaign running from November 4 at 4:30 p.m. PST until November 12 at 4:30 p.m. PST.
How to Get the Pouch of Violet Dust
To claim the toy, watch four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams while Drops are active. You can watch any participating channel in the WoW category, and your progress carries over if you switch between streamers.
First, you need to link your Twitch account to Battle.net through the account connections page
Then head to the WoW Forever category on Twitch and select a stream that has Drops enabled
Watch a total of 4 hours
Claim the reward through Twitch's Drops Inventory
The next step is the most important. After claiming it, log into the Battle.net region where you want to receive the reward. Your first login determines which region receives it, and delivery can take up to 24 hours.
If you log into another Region, the drop will be lost.
What Does the Pouch of Violet Dust Do?
The toy pretty much lets you turn a campsite's fire purple, extending the duration of all camp benefits by one hour. So any buff from that campsite will last 2 Hours instead of 1.
There is also a nice group benefit because if you activate the toy when others are around, it also shares the extended duration with everyone else resting at that same campsite.
You do not need every player to own the toy to receive the bonus.
Sadly, this is not a permanent addition to your collection...
The Pouch of Violet Dust is exclusive to the WoW: Forever Launch Celebration event and will stop working once the event ends in early December. Blizzard will then remove it from everyone's collections.
