Diablo 4 launches Meat or Treat on top of returning Goblin Halloween event

Face the Butcher, hunt Treasure Goblins, and earn rewards before the events end on November 4.

Diablo 4 is launching the Halloween festivities early! The Meat or Treat event is here, and it comes with the March of the Goblins as well.

You will find way more Treasure Goblin activity across Sanctuary over the weekend, but be careful because The Butcher is looking for meat...

Running from October 28 until November 4 at 7 PM CET, the event gives you a reason to come back, look for dungeon shrines, hunt down more goblins, and work through a reputation track for additional rewards.

Meat or Treat Event

The Butcher is back with his own twisted version of trick-or-treating,

During Meat or Treat, activating any shrine in a dungeon can trigger an additional surprise effect on top of its usual bonus. That could mean an unexpected reward, but it can also make your dungeon run considerably more dangerous.

The Butcher is part of the festivities, so do not assume every shrine activation will go smoothly. If you are running dungeons for loot or experience, keep an eye out for these extra effects. If you are on Hardcore, maybe just skip shrines.... You never know...

March of the Goblins Returns to Kyovashad

If you are too used to teleporting to Temis, you might miss out on this one. The quest only activates in Kyovashad.

You can find the March of the Goblins statue and reputation board only in Kyovashad. Interacting with the board lets you track your progress and see the rewards available as you earn reputation by killing Treasure Goblins.

The rewards include a cosmetic horse armour, a goblin emblem, reward caches, gold, and a Resplendent Spark. It definitely gives you a good reason to hunt down goblins for the entire weekend.

As with previous versions of March of the Goblins, progressing through the reputation track also improves the rewards you can get from goblins. Blizzard has previously explained that higher ranks increase the chance of Treasure Goblins dropping additional treasure bags.

So if you have not visited Kyovashad yet, check the goblin statue to see your reputation progress and available rewards.

With Meat or Treat adding extra effects to dungeon shrines and Treasure Goblins appearing more frequently, you can make progress on the goblin reward track really quickly.

Just remember that the festivities end on November 4 at 7 PM CET, so do not leave the final rewards until the last minute.
