Diablo 4 buffed Mythic drops, and Mephisto now guarantees one
The rarest loot in the game just got a lot less random to chase
Diablo 4 Season 15 has been live for 2 days, but some of the changes that were made for this season bear repeating. One of them is the game now giving players more chances to find Mythic Uniques. Blizzard has improved the drop rates from Lair Bosses, Belial, and random sources, with the Echo of Mephisto now guaranteeing a Mythic drop!
The patch notes for 3.2.1 do not provide exact percentages for most of these increases, but almost every known way of hunting Mythics has received some form of improvement.
Boss Farming Now Has Better Odds
Greater Lair Bosses and Belial have received a few small increases to their Mythic Unique drop rates. Initiate Lair Bosses got a larger improvement, which now brings their Mythic drop chance up to the same rate as Greater Lair Bosses.
Boss farming is also more focused, as Mythic Uniques dropped by Initiate and Greater Lair Bosses will come from that boss's specific Unique pool. The same rule will also apply when selecting loot from Belial's Hoard. Of course, Lair Bosses can also drop Mythics outside their normal pool through generic random loot, as always, but Blizzard said that chance is rather small.
Random Mythic Drops Also Got Better
Bosses are not the only place with better odds. Blizzard also increased the chance for Mythic Uniques to drop from random sources, though it did not say by how much. And every Unique can now drop from level 1 on any difficulty, so a new character can get lucky much earlier than before.
Echo of Mephisto Gets the Best Reward
The Echo of Mephisto received improved loot quality and now includes a guaranteed Mythic drop. So basically, fighting Mephisto is now the obvious source for anyone wanting to farm Mythic loot in the current game. Combined with the overall boss and random-drop improvements, Mythic loot hunting should feel a little less restrictive in Season 15. Yay!

Mythic Unique and Loot Changes
Unique Items
All Unique items are now available to drop at level 1, and in any Difficulty.
Mythic Uniques dropped by Initiate Lair Bosses and Greater Lair Bosses, as well as those selected from Belial's Hoard, will only include Mythic Uniques from that boss's Unique Item pool.
In addition to their specific Unique Item pools, Lair Bosses also drop generic random loot. As a result, there remains a small chance to obtain Mythic Uniques outside a boss's specific pool through these additional drops.
Slightly increased the Mythic Unique drop rate from Greater Lair Bosses.
Increased the Mythic Unique drop rate from Initiate Lair Bosses to match the rate of Greater Lair Bosses.
Slightly increased the Mythic Unique drop rate from Belial.
Increased the chance for Mythic Uniques to drop from random sources.
Increased overall loot quality for Echo of Mephisto, including a guaranteed Mtyhic Drop.
