Diablo 4 Season 15's old-school dungeons have wildly different rewards

From Mythic drops to disappointing loot, this community chart rates which Legacy Dungeons deserve your time.

Diablo 4 Season 15 open world portals that can open and lead to legacy dungeons

Diablo 4 Season 15 brings back dungeons from across the franchise, including areas from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and even Diablo Immortal. If you are wondering which ones are worth running for their rewards, someone in the community has put together a handy chart covering all the legacy dungeons and highlighting the best farming spots. The chart covers the dungeons' original games, their lore references, what you do inside them, and the rewards you can find. It also separates the encounters into categories ranging from worth repeating to interesting but unremarkable, with some receiving a not-so-flattering rating.

The original chart was posted on Twitter/X in Spanish, but we did manage to find an English version of it.

Diablo 4 Legacy Dungeons Worth Farming

Three dungeons stand out in the chart.

  • The Labyrinth (Hell) from the original Diablo

  • Durance of Hate (Hell) from Diablo II

  • Worldstone Keep (Hell) from Diablo II

Worldstone Keep is particularly interesting for players looking for valuable drops. The chart lists six Royal Gems, Mythic items associated with Baal, and runes including Tal and Eth among its potential rewards. The dungeon recreates Diablo II's final fight, taking you through the Worldstone Keep before facing Baal in the Worldstone Chamber.

Durance of Hate is another familiar location, leading to Mephisto and his Throne. The chart lists a chance at Mythic or seasonal Unique items, but it is longer to complete than Baal's Dungeons, making it less worth it for farming.

The Labyrinth offers a chance at Stone of Jordan rings. The original Diablo dungeon is also one of the season's best location, bringing back Diablo himself.

However, these three are the Capstone Dungeons. You should only farm them on T10 and higher, and the difficulty is quite high.

When it comes to normal dungeons, "Diablo Hellfire The Cornerstone" portal is probably the one Legacy Dungeon that is worth doing repeatedly. The chart describes an encounter involving six Treasure Goblins, a portal to Whimsyshire, and an elite enemy that can drop Mythic Uniques. That is a good reason to pay attention when the opportunity appears, even if it is not a dungeon you would normally run.

Some Portals Offer Secrets Rather Than Great Loot

Not every dungeon is about farming equipment. The chart also covers some of Season 15's best discoveries, including Whimsyshire, the secret Cow Level and the Battle of the Horadrim.

Whimsyshire (called "Chupiland" in the chart) is nice if you are looking for runes and crafting materials, and you can find a bunch of unicorns, angry Teddy Bears, and flowers that try to eat you.

The Cow Level is another important place. You can get a cosmetic set and basic runes, and the related secret content offers additional rewards. It is a fun detour if you enjoy the series' long-running cow jokes, but it is long, and not the most efficient farming option.

Moophisto and Tristram are also worth doing at least once. The first one involves five Prime Rib, a Cow Pet, and a Bell of the Bovine, and the other one Deckard Cain leading the way back to Old Tristram, where you can fight the Prime Evils and get the most powerful Mythic Charm of the game, Hellfire Torch.

The chart gives you all the information in one place. Season 15 has 33 Legacy Dungeons that are scattered across 27 different locations, and split between real dungeons and small portals with short fights or secrets inside that appear in the open world.
