Diablo 4's Druid rework targets tag stacking and buffs multiple builds
Storm Shepherd, Trample, and Companion builds all get changes worth testing on the Season 16 PTR.

Druid is getting the biggest class updates in Diablo 4 Season 16. Skill tags are getting a complete overhaul for Druid, and Paragon nodes, Spirit Boons, Legendary Aspects, and a few Unique items are also being changed or adjusted.
We are not going to go over every little detail, but some really important changes are worth pointing out.
The developers also left an interesting note about the Season 16 Druid:
Developer’s Note: The primary goal for Druid in Season 16 is to address tag stacking. We want to reduce Druid's ability to stack tags and their reliance on them, so builds that pick only one tag can still benefit from 4 legendary boards. Additionally, we wanted to carve out more identity for Resolve and Fortify. Instead of having both Earth and Druid access both keywords, we can split them up and use the extra space for different upgrade designs.
Druid's Skill Tags Are Changing in Season 16
So basically, Druid skills will no longer gain the Nature Magic or Shapeshifting tags from their upgrades and variants. These tags will only be linked to the base skill.
For example,
Lightning Claw will only grant the Storm tag, not the Nature Magic Tag.
Their goal is to minimize Druid's reliance on the tags themselves. This will change a lot of builds, because it was one of the main tactics to max out Paragon bonuses on the class. It sort of limits the number of tags a skill can benefit from and changes how you can combine skills with Paragon bonuses. So yes, your favorite build might be heavily affected by these changes.
However, it also means it will open new builds for Druid as well. Now, builds that pick only one Tag can still benefit from 4 legendary boards.

Paragon, Legendaries, Uniques, and Talismans
Yes, Druid really almost got a full overhaul at this point. Nothing was left unchecked!
A few Paragon nodes have been changed to allow more builds to work, without as many strict requirements to unlock the specific nodes.
One good example would be
Survival Instincts:
Previous: While in Werebear form, you deal 45% increased damage, as well as an additional 1% increased damage, up to 25%, for every 1% difference in current Life percent and Fortified Life percent between you and the enemy.
Now: While in Werebear form, you deal 50% increased damage and take 25% decreased Damage.
Only three Uniques and 4 Aspects received minor changes. But when it comes to Talismans, the
Storm Shepherd's Call set was completely changed:
2 Piece Set Bonus
Previous: Storm Skills no longer cost Spirit to cast. Casting a Storm Skill consumes all available Spirit to increase Storm Skill damage by 0.25% per spirit consumed, cumulatively stacking up to 80% for 4 seconds
Now: Storm Skills deal 40% increased damage and have a 20% chance to Double Cast and a 5% chance to Triple Cast.
5 Piece Set Bonus
Previous: Storm Skills deal 100% increased damage and have a 20% chance to Double Cast and a 5% chance to Triple Cast. Double and Triple Casts gain a 350% damage bonus.
Now: Storm Skills Deal 1% increased damage per Spirit when cast.
So if your build was heavily relying on this set, you are going to have to redo the match to make it work out.
A few bugs have already been fixed, but you can check out the complete Patch Notes for all the details on those and for the more minor adjustments made to the class.
