WoW Forever launches with limited-time Horde and Alliance Twitch badges
Subscribe to a WoW streamer or gift a sub, and catch up on streams with the new recap feature.
Twitch is celebrating the launch of World of Warcraft Forever with new Faction badges and a new Category Recaps, so you can make sure you never miss out on a big event.
World of Warcraft is the first category to get Recaps! All the other categories on Twitch will get them later this week.
Everyone can probably agree that a game where we all start new at level 1 is a pretty good place to start a new Twitch feature.
What Are Recaps?
Recaps are basically short highlight reels of a stream.
They are made from the streamer's clips on their channel. As an example, if you cannot watch your favorite streamer on Forever's launch day because you are busy playing yourself, you can come back to the Recaps, and if clips have been made that day, you will find the best ones there.
These short Recaps from recent streams are pinned right above the live channels.
So starting this week, you will be able to find Recaps from streams in the World of Warcraft: Forever category.
Open the World of Warcraft category, and you can catch the first Skyborne runs, the dungeon wipes, and the funniest or most interesting clips, all in a few minutes.
You can catch up on your favorite streamers, or even find a few new favorites along the way.
How to Get the Horde and Alliance Twitch Badges
The new Horde and Alliance chat badges are now available as well, letting you represent your favourite Faction whenever you chat on Twitch.
The two can be obtained on Twitch:
"FOR THE HORDE!"
"FOR THE ALLIANCE!"
They are Twitch chat badges, so they will not unlock anything inside WoW Forever itself.
Twitch@Twitch𝕏For the Horde or For the Alliance?
Wear your colours proudly with chat badges dropping today with the launch of WoW Forever.
Sub or gift to your favourite WoW streamer from today through midnight 11/30 to claim yours.
You also do not need to watch a certain number of hours or complete any in-game activities. But they are not free. You have to support a World of Warcraft streamer with a subscription or gift subscription during the promotion.
You have until midnight on November 30 to claim them.
Once you have unlocked the badges, you can show off your faction pride in Twitch chat.
It is a small launch celebration, but one that should be perfect for anyone who has spent years arguing over which faction is better.
Just do not expect the Alliance and Horde to agree on that one anytime soon.
