WoW Forever beta exposed a strange problem with two factions' PvP sets

The same faction mismatch appears on both Paladin and Shaman PvP set tiers, and Blizzard has not confirmed a change.

If you played PvP during the Beta, you probably noticed something odd, especially if you are a Paladin or Shaman.

It turns out that two class combinations that were not available in WoW Classic ended up with mismatched PvP armor sets.

Two Classes Have the Wrong Faction's Look

On Twitter/X, you can find a grid comparing the PvP sets for nine classes across the Horde and Alliance, and it compares the rare and epic versions side by side.

Most classes have unique appearances for each faction, but Paladins and Shamans do not.

All the other classes have really different-looking sets. But Horde Paladins still get the Alliance Paladin set, and Alliance Shamans get the Horde Shaman stuff. So Undead Paladin and Dwarf Shaman keep their old sets.

The problem is due to the two not existing in WoW Classic. Paladins were exclusive to the Alliance, and Shamans belonged to the Horde. WoW Forever changes that with the Undead Paladins and Dwarf Shamans. These are not the only new combos, but they are the only ones with no faction-specific PvP sets for now.

On Reddit, there are already suggestions on how the existing armour could be changed to fit each faction. Horde Paladins could get a dark, black-and-gold one, and Alliance Shamans could be based on the Alliance Hunter set.

Blizzard Has Not Confirmed a Change

As you know, these armors are from the Beta. The fact that they did not change before the end of the beta does not mean they will stay like this on release.

The current sets are maybe just be placeholders until Blizzard swaps them out for the real ones.

Sadly, Blizzard has not confirmed that or announced any changes. So for now, do not expect any change if you plan to rank up an Undead Paladin or Dwarf Shaman.
