WoW Forever has a 31-minute flight path

The Horde route from Stonetalon Mountains to Moonglade takes a long detour if you skip four stops.

When you played through the beta of WoW Forever, you might have wondered how long flight paths really take. Traveling through Kalimdor, for example, takes quite a long time in general, but it turns out there is a flight path that could take up to 31 minutes and 11 seconds.

Yes, this is a really long flying time. But at least you can make coffee in the meantime...

The route goes from the Stonetalon Mountains to Moonglade, but you need to skip four flight masters for this to work.

The Longest Continuous Flightpath in WoW

The time comes from a community calculation originally shared on Reddit in January 2024, and it was about WoW Classic, so not really anything new.

The author used existing flight path data to work out the longest possible continuous route. They did not time it directly in-game, so the exact duration could slightly change when you do it in the game.

Now, with Forever's Beta, it seems this is still accurate, even in Forever, and people started sharing the route again.

It is for Horde characters, and you need to skip the following flightmasters:

  • The Barrens

  • Thunder Bluff

  • Thousand Needles

  • Felwood

Now, the flight from Stonetalon Mountains to Moonglade is much longer.

Yes, these are pretty specific conditions for something most players will never try deliberately. But if you like testing odd things in WoW games, Forever might just be the perfect game to try this kind of stuff.

So when the game finally launches, you can test if this still works!
