Diablo 4 Season 15 has an early favorite, but two classes are close behind
Early testing produced one clear winner, but the best first character still depends on how you want to play.
4 days and an exciting BlizzCon event, that is all we have left before Diablo 4 Season 15 starts. This is exactly why now is the right moment to try and figure out the classes that are going to be worth investing in. Yes, it is still a little early to call the new meta completely set in stone, but the Season 15 PTR has given us a pretty good idea already of possible S-Tier classes, even if Blizzard announces a few changes over the weekend.
This is based on PTR performance, build testing, and what the community has been recommending so far, so do not take this as the exact Season 15 meta!
Blizzard could still announce more balance changes, and more Season 15 information is expected during BlizzCon this weekend.
Warlock Is Definitely Your Best Choice This Season
If you are starting Season 15 and your only concern is finding a class with serious endgame potential, Warlock should probably be at the top of your list. The class has been one of the biggest winners from the Season 15 changes, with a few different builds performing extremely well during PTR testing.
Warlock is definitely an S-tier class this season.
Rogue Remains Extremely Strong
Rogue is not quite beating the Warlock for now, but it is probably the safest alternative if you want a strong class that can pretty much do anything going into Season 15.
If you are looking for a class that can level quickly, move around fast and easily, and still have a strong endgame option waiting at the other end, Rogue is a pretty safe bet.
Rogue is S-Tier overall as well.
Barbarian Is the Class to Relax to This Season
Barbarian did not look quite as dominant during PTR, but there is a good reason to keep an eye on it. Barbarian tends to have very strong and very chill builds. By that we mean that, for example, compared to Rogues who often require a lot of effort and button-pushing, Barbarian pretty much just requires you to charge in or spin.
That makes Barbarian one of the more interesting choices if you want viable builds that are relaxing to play and do not need a lot of braining.
Barbarian is S/A-Tier in general.
Why Spiritborn Still Slaps
Spiritborn may not be the unstoppable force it was in some previous seasons, but writing it off would be a mistake. The class remains good for players who like high mobility and speedfarming, even if it is not currently sitting at the very top of the overall rankings.
For now, we put Spiritborn overall under A Tier.
Sorcerer Has Some Interesting Options
Sorcerer is a little harder to place right now, because its strongest builds are not quite as obvious as Warlock or Rogue. The class got a few buffs, but not really enough. There are plenty of familiar Sorcerer builds floating around, but they are not the first options we would recommend if you are specifically trying to get the strongest Season 15 meta build.
Sorcerer still overall remains A Tier.
Druid, Paladin, and Necromancer
That leaves Necromancer, Druid, and Paladin a little further down our current priority list.
That is not to say they are bad. Far from it! Necromancer should be comfortable to play and have some interesting endgame choices. Druid has a lot of builds worth playing too, and we saw during Season 14 how far Druids could go. Paladin is the hardest class to recommend purely from a meta perspective right now. The class is just lacking compared to when it was released.
For now, these three classes are better choices if you already know you enjoy them, but less so if you are simply looking for the strongest possible meta build for the Season. However, all of this can still change after the weekend. If it does, we will update you!
