Diablo 4 Season 15 just made single Resistances 7 times stronger
Element-specific Resistance is getting a huge boost across gear, Charms, and Tempering.
Season of Hell's Legacy is definitely something else. And not only because it added a crazy amount of references and content coming from previous games, but also because of the amount of very small changes that were made that everyone just completely ignored or missed out on.
When starting this season, we realised something was different with the resistances in the game. And indeed, if you scroll a few more times down into the newest patch notes, you will see that single Resistance affixes are now 7 times the value of All Resistance affixes! And you can definitely feel it in-game.
Here is how Blizzard explained it:
Significantly increased the value of Single Resistance affixes on equipment, Charms, and Tempering recipes.
Single Resistance affixes are now 7 times the value of All Resistance affixes.
Re-tuned All Resistance Tempering values to align with other All Resistance affixes.
So this affects equipment, Charms, and Tempering recipes, meaning you might want to keep an eye on these Elemental Resistances this season.
A Very Good Boost
I hope I am not the only one who, up until now, was used to just throwing on All Resistance affixes, thinking, "at least like this it increases everything equally". But either way, you might want to rethink it, because a single Elemental Resistance will have a much higher value than All Resistances now. For example, if you are a bit low on Fire and Poison Resistance, adding some specific Gems or Tempers for Poison and Fire Res will be way more useful than just using one All Resistance affix.
The change is not limited to equipment affixes either. Blizzard has also changed the All Resistance values on Tempering recipes so they line up better with the other All Resistance affixes in the game. So if you Temper an All Resistance on your gear, it should now have around the same value as you can get from other places.
With all the new monsters there are to slay this season, having better elemental resistances will definitely be a good thing!
