Diablo 4's Horadric Items have a useful bonus for two-handed weapons

These Legendary drops add to existing Talisman set bonuses, and they are doubled on 2H weapons.

Diablo 4 Season 16 3 armor, wepaon, and ring example of the new horadric items with set affixes on them

Diablo 4 Season 16 PTR is live, and with it come the new Horadric items and their Horadric affixes. These are Legendary items that will create new synergies between your equipped gear and your Talisman set bonuses. You will find Horadric affixes on legendary items that will interact with your talisman set, and the effects depend on the item type.

  • Jewelry items with Horadric affixes increase your set bonus count by 1

  • Armor and weapons grant new effects that activate if you have at least a 2-set bonus active already

Two-handed weapons have an extra advantage. They get double the affix value. That makes them worth checking when you are looking for a Horadric Item to support your build, because it could give you a serious bonus.

One important detail is that these Legendary items do not introduce new affix effects, but they basically copy the existing Talisman set affixes.

How to Get Horadric Items

It seems like Horadric Items can drop in the open world on the Season 16 PTR, so you should easily be able to test them during the next few days, and change your builds around them.

Horadric affixes start appearing on Legendaries at Item Power 850, and it can go up to 900 for Ancestral Legendaries.

How Does It Work

To give you an idea of what you can obtain, we have an example for you.

If you drop a Legendary item with a Arms of Arreat bonus, these are the affixes and numbers that can roll on your item:

  • +1 Set count to Arms of Arreat on Rings and amulets only.

Since Horadric Items seem to drop in the open world, you may come across useful upgrades without specifically farming for them. So if you drop some, make sure to check the affixes, just in case you are getting something that goes with your current Talisman set.

Especially two-handed weapons with doubled affix values are important. Because these could give you a huge damage bonus if you get double Vulnerable Damage or other damage increase affixes.

This does depend on the class.

On Sorcerer, it mostly compensates for the missing Off-Hand, but for classes that can wear multiple weapons on top of a 2H (such as Rogues with Bow + 2 Swords/Daggers), it can be a good advantage.
