Diablo 4 Season 16 lets you customize War Plans for better rewards
You can now influence War Plans activities and rewards with a new progression system.

Have you ever rerolled your War Plans and thought, "There is not a single activity here that I want to complete right now, and the bonus rewards are not what I am looking for either..."?
Everyone most likely went through that at least once in Diablo 4 and ended up having to complete a War Plan that they were not really satisfied with. Well, good news, because this is changing next Season.
Season 16 PTR information was just released, and War Plans are getting a ton of changes.
War Plan Tactics
War Plan Tactics are a new meta progression system that increases the chances of getting the content and rewards from War Plans that you need and want.
So basically, you will have access to an additional War Plan Tree in which you can target specific nodes for specific activities and rewards.
For example, you can increase the chances for Helltide nodes to roll on your War Plan, and for Lair Key bonuses to appear.

This Tree has a total of 10 Levels. Points are earned by completing War Plan activities. You can then invest these points into nodes in the War Plan Tactics tree to increase its chances of appearing.
You can invest up to 3 points in each node, and putting at least one point in activities such as Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons also increases the chance to get Greater Helltides or Escalation Dungeons.
And when it comes to rewards, place up to 3 points into any type of Reward node for a better chance to get a bonus.
If you are wondering, these are basically just the bonuses that can appear on your War Plan. If you invest 1 to 3 points into Gems, you will have more chances to get a Gems bonus on one of your War Plan activities.

You can target the following bonus rewards:
Armor
Weapons
Jewelry
Obducite
Salvage
Gems
Gold
Activity Keys
Horadric Cube Materials
Talisman Items
You can access War Plan Tactics on both Seasonal and Eternal realms.
New Marks of Wisdom
Up until now, in order to respec War Plan points in any of the activity trees, you had to spend Gold. From Season 16 onwards, you will have access to a new currency called Marks of Wisdom.
Completing any War Plans will reward one point, and in PTR you can accumulate a total of 20 Marks of Wisdom. You can then spend these Marks to change nodes in your War Plans Tactics tree and the individual Activity trees.
