Diablo 4's Ber Rune is rare, but you can craft it with the Horadric Cube

Combine specific Runes and Grand Gems in the Horadric Cube, and you can craft the rarest runes.

Enigma is probably one of the items that we all wanted the most this season in Diablo 4, but to craft it, you also need one of the rarest Runes, and getting that one is a challenge on its own.

Ber is not really dropping as often as the other runes. And even if a few lucky players are claiming they got around 10 in under an hour of farming, chances are you are on the other side of the playbase, and you got zero in 10 hours of farming instead.

So how do you get this Rune?

Craft Ber Using the Horadric Cube

Season 15 introduced all the Diablo 2 Runewords, and these have "secret" recipes in the Horadric Cube. So, for Enigma you need Jah + Ith + Ber. And Ber is most likely the one you are missing.

But the Cube hides more than just secret equipment recipes. You can also find secret Rune Conversion recipes. You basically slot a mix of Runes or Runes + Gems, and you get another one out of it. Not all of them can be crafted, but Ber does have a recipe.

You need 2x Lo + 1x Grand Topaz and you obtain 1x Ber.

Here are all the available recipes that lead you to Lo and Ber if needed:

So if you have none of the Legendary Runes, you might need to craft everything from scratch. Ist is one of those Runes that drop regularly, so farm for those first.

For the entire crafting chain, to get 1 Ber you need a total of:

• 16 Ist

• 8 Flawless Ruby

• 8 Vex

• 4 Flawless Emerald

• 4 Ohm

• 2 Flawless Diamond

• 2 Lo

• 1 Grand Topaz

Where to Farm Runes and Gems

Now, if you are really short on Runes or Gems, there are two specific places where I would recommend you farm:

• Kurast Undercity with the Greater Tribute of Harmony

• Baal's Capstone Dungeon, Worldstone Keep

The Tribute of Harmony focuses on Runes, and it is a good way to accumulate a ton of normal Runes such as Vex or Ohm.

Baal on the other side is the best place where you can farm for the other Runes, such as Lo or Ist. You will also obtain a surprising amount of Gems and Gem fragments through that Capstone Dungeon. The only issue with it is that you need to farm it past T10 and higher, and if your build is not endgame-ready, you will struggle to go through it.

But if you are lucky, Baal might even drop Ber directly for you. It is the only place where we personally had a drop, so either way, it is worth farming there.
