Diablo 4 now has a no-button Sorcerer build pushing past Pit 120

Orisvane and the Frozen Sea charm set work together to create trillions of passive damage.

A sepia-toned painting of a Sorceress launching spells

While the Sorcerer meta in Diablo 4 Season 15 has been all about Firewall variants, a new Blizzard build using no active casts is now storming its way into the deepest levels of the Pit. Streamer little GRIEF’s No-Button Frost God build relies solely on passive actions through Enchantments and the Frozen Sea charm set, offering an accessible, easy-to-play build for a button-busy class.

As an added bonus, you don't even need any Mythic items to get it off the ground.

How the Damage Engine Runs

The “No Button” titling is only a bit of a misnomer; the build requires you to drink healing potions almost constantly to trigger the Ice Armor enchantment effect and its upgrades through Orsivane. Because you have no Defensive actions (or anything else!) on your hotbar, the weapon also turns evade, another button you will want to press, into Wormhole, which you can use for crowd control.

But actually dealing damage is completely passive.

  • Blizzard and Ice Shards auto-cast through their assigned Enchantments, both acting as major damage dealers.

  • Orsivane allows you to passively benefit from the Frost Nova Enchantment without assigning it.

  • The Frozen Sea charm set converts direct damage into Frostbite and then, with its capstone bonus, instantly consumes all applied Frostbite to yield massive damage numbers.

  • Baal’s Divine Power Ice of Excidium auto-applies Cold damage and Vulnerable.

Quiet Interactions

A few things happen in the background to keep everything fueled.

  • Overload provides you with endless Crackling Energy, allowing you to claim a permanent massive damage multiplier through the Legendary Paragon Node Ceaseless Conduit.

  • Endlessly drinking healing potions not only triggers your Ice Armor, but also allows you to benefit from the Imbiber glyph for another near-constant multiplicative damage bonus.

  • Splinter of Hellfire takes away your Critical Strike chance, but since most of your damage comes from triggering DoT explosions, which can't crit, you won't even miss it!

The clever synergies in this build work together to create those trillions of damage, so substitutions of skill and gear assignments that don't immediately make sense may yield a build that no longer functions.

The Biggest Drawback

This is very much an endgame build that you cannot do without the right items, even if your gear doesn't need to be Mythic or even have Greater Affixes.

You really need the five-set bonus from the Frozen Sea charm set. While the Blizzard Enchantment on its own is lots of fun and lets you do a lot of damage, to push the Pit with this build, you will want the explosion from the Frostbite ticks. Similarly, fully upgrading Baal's Divine Power gives you a huge additional source of passive damage.

Both little GRIEF and other theorycrafters are still perfecting variants of this build, so Sorcerers can look forward to seeing just how powerful it will be.
