Diablo 4 has a much easier way to unlock Moophisto, and it starts in Tristram
A short quest gives you all five Prime Ribs needed to summon the secret boss.

If you have been trying to reach Moophisto in Diablo 4 Season 15, you have probably already discovered that the Secret Cow Level involves quite a bit of work. Between farming way too many Cows in different regions, getting the items, unlocking the Cow King, farming Prime Ribs, and finding your way into the Bovine Sanctum, there is a lot to do before you can even fight the boss. But it turns out there is a much easier way to get there, and it has absolutely nothing to do with cows. Well, almost.
A hidden side quest in Old Tristram rewards you with five Prime Ribs, and that is exactly what you need to access the Bovine Sanctum and summon Moophisto. And the best part is that you do not even need to finish the Echo of Tristram quest to do it.
Unlock the Way to Old Tristram
To get started, you will need to collect all ten of Deckard Cain's journals scattered across Sanctuary. Once you have found them all, you will unlock the Deckard's Journey quest, and he will eventually open a permanent portal to Old Tristram inside the Imperial Library in Caldeum. If you have not done this yet, you can follow our Echo of Tristram guide to find all ten journal locations.
And do not worry about farming the three Splinters of Evil or crafting Wirt's Lucky Coins. You do not need either of those for this shortcut. All you need is access to Old Tristram itself.
Find the Hidden Butcher Quest
Once you are in Old Tristram, head toward the upper-left part of town. You will find a dead body that you can inspect to start a small side quest involving the Butcher. You will see the side quest marker on your mini-map. After interracting with the dead body, you will need to investigate what happened, so talk to the NPCs around Tristram and select the dialogue option about the Butcher whenever it is available. You will get an achievement pop-up once you talk to everyone. After that, the goal is to kill the Butcher.

Now, the quest does not tell you where to find the Butcher, but you do not need to run random dungeons hoping he will show up. Simply teleport to The Broiler in Gea Kul and kill the Burning Butcher Lair Boss. This counts toward the quest, and once you have defeated him, you will receive your rewards, including five Prime Ribs.
That is your Moophisto summoning materials sorted!
Head Straight to the Bovine Sanctum
With your five Prime Ribs ready, head to Skovos and teleport to Tyreal's Encampment Waypoint. From there, walk all the way up to a small area where you will find an Altar of the Heifer.

Interact with the Altar to open the way inside. Make sure you have your Ribs on you, because if you stashed them, the Altar will just do nothing. This does not consume your Ribs!

Once you arrive, make sure to grab the waypoint so you can return later. Head past the cow vendors and continue toward the arena. In the middle, you will find another Altar of the Heifer where you can offer your five Prime Ribs to summon Moophisto. This time it will consume your Ribs. Once defeated, enjoy all the unique rewards and cosmetics he can drop! And that is it! You have reached the secret boss without having to complete the entire Secret Cow Level mystery or spend ages farming the Cow King.
Bring Your Friends Along
Here is another useful little trick if you want to help your friends reach Moophisto. Once you are inside the Bovine Sanctum, invite them to your party and have them teleport directly to you. They can grab the waypoint as well, making it much easier to return to the area. You might even find other players already hanging around the arena, waiting for someone to summon the boss. During our run, the place looked almost like a waiting room, with people simply hanging around until someone showed up with enough ribs.
Just keep in mind that the five Prime Ribs from the Butcher quest are a one-time reward. If you want to summon Moophisto again, you will still need to eventually unlock the Cow King. But for your first encounter, this is a pretty easy way to skip everything and just give you access to the area, at least.
