Diablo 4's one-button Rogue build is now strong enough for Pit 130

A few important upgrades now let Rain of Arrow Rogue run through high Pit levels with almost no effort.

Diablo 4

Remember the really cool one-button Rogue build that could spam Rain of Arrows through Diablo 4's endgame? It has gotten even better. The build has now been refined enough to clear Pit 130 with a single button and handle bosses and Torment 12 content without requiring a complicated rotation. With a few extra skills added to the bar, the build can potentially push all the way toward Pit 150. So safe to say that Rogue is killing it this Season, and as a Rogue main, I love that!

And the best part is that the changes needed to make the build work are as simple as the build itself.

The Breakpoints Are What Make the Build Work

The base setup is still based around Beastfall Boots, Aspect of Aftermath, and Preparation. The goal is to spend your entire Energy pool with Rain of Arrows and the Boots, then Preparation will immediately recover its cooldown.

But for the refined version, you basically need to reach a few specific breakpoints:

  • 300 Maximum Energy

  • 20% + Resource Regeneration (one roll on Ring should be enough)

  • 30 or more ranks in Rain of Arrows

  • 20 seconds or less Rain of Arrows cooldown

  • 85% Crit Chance (that you can get from Concealment)

Beastfall Boots makes Rain of Arrows consume your available Energy when you cast it. The goal is to have Aspect of Aftermath restore 200 Energy, Beastfall Boots restores the additional 25, and Preparation resets your Rain of Arrows cooldown based on the energy spent. The result is about as relaxing as a high-end Diablo 4 build can get.

The update was made by Rob, so you can find the full build in his video:

Pit 125 Takes Around 50 Seconds

The refined version is already clearing Pit 125 in around 50 seconds, and Pit 130 is easily doable as well, especially if you add a few skills to your bar. The build also has enough damage to delete bosses almost immediately, including Uber Mephisto, and its defensive side makes it surprisingly tanky for something that barely asks you to interact with your skill bar. It also is not locked behind a collection of Iconic Mythics. You obviously want strong gear, so having the Mythic versions of your Uniques is always going to be better, the build works perfectly fine with just Beastfall Boots and Word of Hakan on Mythic.

What Are the Other Skills You Can Add?

One of the funniest things about the build is that one button is sort of optional. You can add the following skills if you want to push Pit even further:

  • Dark Shroud gives you a big defensive boost

  • Concealment can provide more damage and utility

  • Cold Imbuement is very good because Rain of Arrows as a spammable skill like this, it can easily scale with freezing multipliers

  • Heartseeker to maintain the Fer of the Narrow Eye set bonus active

  • Dash and Shadow Step can be added for more mobility

That version is no longer technically a one-button build, but it really pushes the damage you can do with it. The current version is expected to be capable of reaching Pit 150 with those additional skills.

But if you just want to chill and clear your pit/bosses, you really just need to get your Energy and cooldown breakpoints right, and hold down Rain of Arrows.
